College and Career students from the Liberty Church in Grand Ledge, Michigan accompanied Missionary Evangelist and Global Campus Ministries coordinator Monte Showalter on an experience of a life time – a ministry tour through the country of Peru.
Their travels took them to Lima, Cusco, Juliaca, Lake Titicaca, and Puno. In each city the students ministered and were able to experience Peruvian culture, fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, and most importantly the power of the Holy Ghost.
The purpose behind trips as these are to offer students experiences in both culture and ministry. At Macchu Picchu the students saw how the Incans worshiped the Sun. Organized their lives around the sun. So glad to know that we know the “Son,” the one, true God.
Sharing missions work around the world builds faith and fellowship. The students were able to visit some churches that rarely have had a visit from Americans. A highlight of the trips was a trip to the Uros Islands; including a visit to a small island populated by 6 church families.
